Points of Measure (POM) Guide

Overview


The Points of Measure page helps you manage and track measurements for your styles. You can add, edit, and organize measurement specifications, work with different sizes, and share POM data with your team.

Getting Started


At the top of the page, you'll find these important controls:

  • Visibility Toggle (Eye Icon) - Show/hide the POM page

  • Status Toggle - Switch between "In Progress" and "Completed"

  • Sample Size Selector - Choose your primary measurement size

  • Grading Selector - Set size variation rules

Adding POMs

Click the "Add POM" button to add measurements in four ways:

  • Add New POM - Create a blank entry

  • Add Default POMs - Use pre-set templates

  • Copy From Style - Import from existing styles

  • Copy From Template - Use saved templates

Managing Measurements


Each POM entry includes:

  • POM ID - Unique identifier

  • POM - Measurement name

  • Description - How to measure

  • Tolerance - Acceptable variation (+/-)

  • Measurements - Values for each size

  • Comments - Additional notes


Editing and Saving


To edit measurements:

  • Click the pencil icon on a row

  • Make your changes

  • Click the checkmark to save that row

  • Use "Save Changes" to save everything

Sharing and Exporting


Share your POM data using these options:

  • Export All POMs - Complete PDF report

  • Export Sample POMs - Sample size only

  • Email POM - Send directly to team members

Importing Data


To import measurements:

  • Click "Import"

  • Download the template if needed

  • Choose your completed file

  • Upload and verify the data

View Options


Customize your view with these controls:

  • Toggle All Sizes/Sample Size - Switch between full and sample view

  • Show All/Hide Inactive - Filter active measurements

  • Preview Mode - See grading calculations


Using Templates


Save time by creating templates:

  • Set up your measurements

  • Click "Save" → "Save as Template"

  • Name your template and choose a group

  • Access it later via "Copy From Template"


Tips for Success


  • Use drag-and-drop to organize POMs

  • Add clear descriptions for team reference

  • Save changes regularly

  • Use templates for common measurements

  • Keep status updated for team awareness
