The Design Stages page allows you to set up and manage the key stages of your design process. By customizing these stages, you can ensure they align with your team's workflow, making it easier to track progress and manage tasks effectively.

Key Features of the Page

  1. Stage Table:

    • Stage Name: Displays the name of each design stage (e.g., Ideation, Research, Range Planning).

    • Default: Use the checkbox to set a stage as the default, which will make it preselected in workflows.

    • Setting: Provides options to manage each stage:

      • Edit (Pencil Icon): Update the stage name or set it as the default.

      • Delete (Trash Icon): Remove a stage from the list.

  2. Add Design Stage Button:

    • Click this button to add a new design stage to your workflow.

  3. Reorder Stages:

    • Use the drag-and-drop functionality to reorder the design stages in the table.

How to Use This Page

1. Adding a New Design Stage

  • Click the Add Design Stage button in the top-right corner.

  • Enter a name for the new stage in the input field that appears.

  • Optionally, check the Default checkbox if this stage will be commonly used.

  • Click Save to confirm the addition.

2. Editing an Existing Design Stage

  • Click the Edit (Pencil Icon) next to the stage you want to modify.

  • Update the stage name or toggle the Default checkbox.

  • Click the Save (Check Icon) to apply your changes.

3. Reordering Design Stages

  • Hover over the Reorder Icon (three horizontal lines) next to a stage.

  • Drag the stage to its new position in the list to adjust the workflow order.

4. Deleting a Design Stage

  • Click the Delete (Trash Icon) next to the stage you want to remove.

  • Confirm the deletion in the popup window.

Note: Deletion is permanent, so ensure the stage is no longer needed before proceeding.

Best Practices

  • Reflect Your Workflow: Customize the stages to match your design team's process. For example, include stages such as Ideation, Research, and Sampling.

  • Set a Default: Choose a default stage to save time when creating new workflows.

  • Organize for Clarity: Reorder the stages to reflect the sequence of your design process, ensuring smooth transitions and clear visibility.

This page gives you the flexibility to design and manage a structured process that fits your team's unique needs, streamlining the way you track and execute design tasks.
